"FINALLY IN COLOR"

Okay...here's the 'original version' of this weekend's I DIG DUG comic. It's in what I call a "Sunday Strip Format". Basically, the story you've been reading now once a week for the past two months was originally designed to be a two week long story if I DIG DUG ran as a daily strip. So...this was the original design for the Sunday resolution to the conflict comic. This 'original version' was colored a few years ago as well, so it retains the original 'neon' purple color of Carrie's shirt rather than the more recent 'toned down' purple that I'm currently using. As for how I managed to take this comic and reformat it into what you see in this weekend's Hometown Connection. Well...it simply a bunch of cutting and pasting and size editing in my favorite program in the world...Adobe Photoshop.
I think the most important thing at this point is that the darn costume is finally gone!!! As much fun as I have drawing that bunny suit, I'm so happy to be drawing the gang in their 'normal' attire once again. SO...back to normal day to day hilarity starting with next week's comic. I may try a long-term story again...eventually. But for now...I'm giving that idea a rest.
