I call this "Halloween IV" because this is the 4th series of Halloween strips I've done for the I DIG DUG gang. Well...technically it's the 5th, but a few years ago I simply redesigned the ones I did in college. So...the first year Dug picked Star Wars costumes (good visuals, but bad writing...those are in a sealed vault never to be read again). The next year, Carrie chose Wizard of Oz costumes (which are some of my all time favorite I DIG DUG comics). Last year Matt had the gang try on Fruit of the Loom character costumes, traditional costumes, and finally settled on Pirates costumes. This year...well...it's Dug's turn again and if it can't be Star Wars, it's gotta by super heroes. And of course, Carrie realizes that Dug goes all out on Halloween so she wants NO part of him picking this year's costumes. Too bad Dug already saw the invitation and had things planned out well ahead of time.
