As an art teacher, I'm often asked by my students "Mr. Weller, how do you draw a (enter anything you can think of here)
?" And many times I'll simply state, I don't know. Because being an artist, or an art teacher, doesn't mean you have the 'mutant power' to just draw whatever you want on command. Take this week's comic for example. I needed a visual to help me draw Dug lounging on the couch reading his book. So...I took a picture of me doing just that. Ya see...sometimes when you don't know how to draw something, or are having a problem visualizing what you want to draw, you just need a picture. That picture then helps you visualize how to go about drawing...or painting I suppose...what it is that you want. So there ya go. Mr. Weller's drawing tip of the day. Hope you enjoy the comparison of photo to black/white comic to color comic. Everyone have a great weekend!!!

I am confused. are you saying that when a student asks you how to draw something you say i idk its not a mutant power... or just i dont know b/c i never heard you answer my question with the whole mutant power thing.

i had a great time at the fair!my brother won a fish...so have you finished the new harry potter book yet? Oh and the kitchen crew is a very cute comic..i read it in the connection today!

Ashtyn, Superman doesn't fly around Metropolis calling himself "SuperClark"! And Batman doesn't protect Gotham City calling himself "BatBruce". And Spiderman doesn't swing around New York calling himself "SpiderParker". SuperAshtyn gives the identity away. So...she's now Action Lass. Besides 'action' kinda rhymes with 'Ashtyn', right?
And, yes Melmack I have officially finished the last Harry Potter book and it was AMAZING!!! I'll say no more because I don't want to ruin it.
