"SURREALISM"

One of the thousands of online dictionaries defines "surreal" as: Something that has a strange dreamlike atmosphere or quality to it". So...here we have a comic drawn by the real me starring cartoon caricatures of myself, my wife and my best friend who have then created their own cartoon caricatures of themselves on the Nintendo Wii. Cartoons creating cartoons. That's surreal. Even more surreal is that Carrie realizes she's already a cartoon. In 'comicdom' we call that breaking the 4th wall. Over the years, my characters have broken that 4th wall many times. Basically...just as in this comic...it's when fictional characters realize that they're just literary devices. Carrie realizes that she's already a cartoon caricature of herself and points it out to the group. Therefore, she just broke the 4th wall which in turn makes the comic even more surreal. Pretty cool, huh?
